Septic Systems

A septic system is a highly efficient, self-contained, underground wastewater treatment system. Because septic systems treat and dispose of household wastewater onsite, they are often more economical than centralized sewer systems. By using natural processes to treat the wastewater onsite, septic systems don't require the installation of miles of sewer lines or large treatment plants, making them less disruptive to the environment and the community.

Our Septic Tanks

S&R has been manufacturing septic tanks since the 1980's with an approved Cajun Aire design. The design has since been revised to reduce the size of the system from 2 or sometimes 3 tanks to only one compartmentalized tank for our most commonly sold 500 gallon per day aerobic systems, which have a total capacity of 1500 gallons. We have the ability and the experience to install multiple tanks for large systems for commercial facilities or RV parks/mobile home communities. We also make tanks for conventional field line systems of various sizes, which use gravity fed underground field lines to disperse the water into the ground instead of pumps to push water out to sprinkler heads or pressurized drip lines like aerobic systems. However, in our area of East Texas, it is rare to find soil that is acceptable to absorb and filter the water from conventional field lines due to the high clay content.
